Creating a New Sliderβ
Step 1: Access Slider Management
- Log in to Admin Panel
- Go to Settings or Content Management
- Click Homepage Sliders or Slider Management
Step 2: Create Slider
- Click Add New Slider or Create Slider
- Fill in slider details
Step 3: Upload Slider Image
Image Requirements:
- Recommended Size: 1920 x 600 pixels (16:9 landscape ratio)
- Minimum Size: 1200 x 400 pixels
- Maximum File Size: 2MB (preferably under 1MB for fast loading)
- Format: JPG or PNG
- Quality: High resolution but optimized for web
Tips for Great Slider Images:
- Use school brand colors
- Include school logo
- Text should be large and readable
- High contrast (dark text on light background or vice versa)
- Avoid too much text - keep it punchy
- Test on mobile devices
Step 4: Add Slider Content
Title:
Enter a short, catchy title

Step 5: Set Display Options
Order/Priority:
- Number 1 = Shows first in rotation
- Number 2 = Shows second, etc.
- Lower numbers = higher priority
Status:
- β Active - Slider is live and visible
- βΈοΈ Inactive - Slider is hidden (draft or archived)
Display Duration:
- How long slider shows before rotating to next
- Recommended: 5-7 seconds
- Too short: Users can't read
- Too long: Users get bored

Step 6: Preview & Publish
- Click Preview to see how it looks
- Test on mobile view
- If satisfied, click Save or Publish
- Slider goes live immediately (or as scheduled)
Managing Existing Slidersβ
View All Sliders:
- Go to Homepage Sliders
- See list of all sliders with:
- Thumbnail preview
- Title
- Status (Active/Inactive)
- Order number
- Date created
Edit a Slider:
- Click Edit button or pencil icon
- Update any field (image, title, description, order, etc.)
- Click Save Changes
- Changes appear immediately on homepage
Delete a Slider:
- Click Delete button or trash icon
- Confirm deletion
- β οΈ Warning: This is permanent!
Reorder Sliders:
- Method 1: Drag and drop sliders to reorder
- Method 2: Change the order/priority number
- Method 3: Use up/down arrows to move sliders
Activate/Deactivate Slider:
- Toggle Active switch on/off
- Inactive sliders don't show on homepage but are saved
- Useful for seasonal content you'll reuse
